
Honor today held its first presentation of its smartphone since independence from Huawei. At the conference, the Honor V40 smartphone was presented, which is based on the MedaiTek Dimesity 1000+ single-chip system.
Honor CEO Zhao Ming said that the past 5 months have been challenging for the company, but very important. He stated that Honor will soon release a real flagship smartphone and also talked about how somewhat strongly independent Honor is today.

Honor employs more than 8,000 people, more than 50% of whom are R&D employees. Zhao Ming noted that Honor currently has 5 research and development centers, more than 100 innovation centers around the world, more than 3,000 service centers and 43 call centers in more than 82 countries and regions.
Honor’s CEO also said the company will adhere to the highest quality standards. Each product will pass over 400 rigorous tests and receive over 20 global certifications.
Zhao Ming revealed that Honor had 20 million mobile phone users in 2014, and its smartphone users surpassed 200 million in 2020.
