Now, owners of inexpensive Samsung smartphones can expand RAM for free: RAM Plus added to Galaxy A52

Samsung started rolling out the October security patches for the Galaxy A52 a few hours ago. According to SamMobile, this system update also adds the RAM Plus feature.

Many Android smartphone OEMs now offer the RAM expansion feature. South Korean tech giant Samsung has also joined the movement, having previously added the feature to the Galaxy A52s 5G as well as the Galaxy Z Fold3.

Now users of the inexpensive Samsung Galaxy A52 who have updated the firmware of their smartphone can increase the amount of RAM on their device for free. To check if this feature is now available, users need to go to Settings> Battery & Device Care> Storage.

Unlike Chinese OEMs, Samsung does not allow users to disable or change the virtual memory function. If the device receives RAM Plus support, this feature remains enabled at all times. In addition, Samsung only offers 4GB of RAM.

The Samsung RAM Plus feature is expected to roll out to more Samsung Galaxy models soon.
