In Android 11, the Easter egg was a collectible cat game, and in Android 11, the puzzle game Nanogram. In Android 12 there are no games, no cat, but there is a demonstration of the main “highlight” of the OS for users. The new Material You design language redefines the interface throughout the system. In addition, it provides for the automatic creation of a new color scheme when changing the wallpaper.

In Android 12, the Easter egg starts with an analog clock widget that you can spin until both arrows point to 12. After that, an “explosion” occurs with bubbles that fill the entire screen. The color of the bubbles is determined by the color of the wallpaper on the smartphone – a pretty interesting way to demonstrate the dynamic changing of the color scheme of the Material You interface.

In the current beta versions of Android 12, the “easter egg” does not work yet, but enthusiasts from two thematic resources managed to activate it at once. In one of the next test versions of Android 12, the Easter egg will be activated by default. Then it will be possible to access it in the standard way – go to the settings in the “About phone” section and click on the “Android version” item several times.
