The death toll in the United States due to the passage of storms and tornadoes rose to 35 on Sunday (16). Fatalities were recorded in seven states of the country.
The latest fatal victims were confirmed in Alabama, where two people died. Damage were reported in 52 of the state’s 67 counts, according to Governor Kay Ivey, who also pointed out that authorities are still evaluating the damage.
The state that recorded the largest number of deaths was Missouri. See the list below:

- Kansas: 8 deaths
- Mississippi: 6 deaths
- Arkansas: 3 deaths
- Texas: 3 deaths
- Alabama: 2 deaths
- Oklahoma: 1 death
In the morning, more than 200,000 establishments were out of power in the country.
Now the storm advances to the eastern region of the United States. Tornado alerts are in force until Sunday afternoon, local time, in part of Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Western Virginia.
The storm forecast center warned of the threat of tornadoes, dangerous gusts and hail.
