Analytical agency App Annie has published a new report, according to which residents of Russia spend an average of 3.7 hours a day using mobile applications (for Android). This is not a record figure, but its growth among Russians has become the largest – 45% more than in the second quarter of 2019.
Residents of Brazil (5.4 hours a day) and Indonesia (5.3 hours a day) became the leaders in terms of the duration of use of applications for smartphones. But among the studied large markets, the Chinese spend the least time on mobile games and programs – 3.1 hours.

In the last quarter, the following apps gained popularity the fastest in Russia:
- Whoosh (electric scooter sharing);
- Zently (online search for friends on the map);
- Urent (bike and electric scooter rental);
- ALID Wallpaper (wallpaper catalog);
- IKEA.

Similarly to the programs, the agency has published statistics on the games that are gaining popularity the fastest.

App Anie also named the most popular applications in Russia – in the second quarter of 2021, Telegram took first place, overtaking TikTok.
