Nursery in Osasco is banned after owner is caught assaulting children

The City of Osasco (SP) interdicted last Friday (7) a private nursery in the patron saint after the release of videos showing the owner of the establishment, Marina Rodrigues de Lima, assaulting children inside the school. The Civil Police opened a police inquiry to investigate the case.

The assaults were caught by a former employee who worked at the Early Childhood Education School Joy of Knowing and resigned after witnessing the scenes of violence. She recorded the videos and handed them to the parents of the children, who sought the police.

In the videos, you can see Marina hitting and shouting with the kids. In one of the videos, she shakes a 2-year-old student and tries to force him to take a liquid. Faced with the boy’s resistance, she slaps his face. See below:


In another video recorded by the teacher, one student reports that he is afraid of the principal. “She fights with me,” says the boy, with a voice frightened by the possibility of having to interact with Marina.

After disclosure of the case, the daycare facade was bought with messages of repudiation of aggression and support to the victims.

“It’s a mixture of despair and sadness,” said Dasminy Laranjo, mother of the boy who appears in the video, slapping on her face. “I feel betrayed,” he added.

Mother of a 1 -year -old girl who was also assaulted, Kauani Eccissi reported CNN who felt the “worst mother in the world” after finding out what they did to her daughter. She states that she “took money from where she didn’t” to pay the daycare tuition.

Osasco mayor Gerson Pessoa (Somos) stated through social networks that the day care center was revoked. “In Osasco, we will not tolerate attitudes like that, whether in public or private schools. Our children deserve respect, love and affection, ”said the mayor.

Osasco City Hall reported that the day care center will remain banned until the investigation is completed and is offering psychological support to parents and children. The Department of Education is working to ensure that children are transferred to other municipal day care centers.

The Civil Police initiated an inquiry to investigate the case. The owner of the school was taken to the police station to give testimony and may be indicted by abuse and aggression. The former employee who reported the case was also heard.
