The Regional Nursing Council of São Paulo (Coren-SP) archived the investigation process that investigated an alleged leak of information about actress Klara Castanho by a nursing professional.
The case is being investigated under secrecy by the Police Department for the Defense of Women (DDM) and was forwarded this Thursday (5th) to the Judiciary for further investigation.
In June last year, the artist revealed that she was the victim of a rape, became pregnant and decided to give the child up for adoption after birth. “The delivery was protected and confidential. Being a father and / or mother does not depend solely on the financial condition, but on the ability to care, ”she said at the time.
Klara Castanho used her social networks to report how the information about the adoption was leaked. “On the day the child was born, I, still anesthetized from the postpartum period, was approached by a nurse who was in the operating room. She asked questions and threatened: ‘Imagine if such a columnist discovers this story’. I was inside a hospital, a place that was supposed to welcome and protect me.”
In a note, Coren-SP said that, based on the information released on the actress’s social networks, “it followed all the procedural rites, requested documents from the hospital institution and summoned the professionals on duty at the time, but did not verify the participation of any professional of nursing in relation to the leak of any confidential patient information, which led to the filing of the process”.
The council also adds that it has not received a complaint from the actress on the subject.
