A nursing technique died on Sunday, after a traffic accident involving an ambulance of the decentralized base of SAMU of Campos Belos, which crashed into a standing truck. The case happened on the stretch between Alto Paraíso de Goiás and Teresina de Goiás, on GO-118.
The accident resulted in seriously injured people and the death of the technique that was identified as Jovelina Francisca Alves Mendes. At the site was held an expertise and the witnesses were heard. The ambulance was destined for the city of Gold Açu to leave a patient.

According to the delegate Rafael Turati Rossi, at the time of the facts there was a lot of fog, making it difficult to view the highway. In testimony, the truck driver explained to the authorities that the engine had warmed, so it stopped to put water on the radiator, then that the vehicles crashed.
Still in charge, the driver stressed that he tried to signal the road, placing shrubs and branches before the vehicle, but, because of the fog, did not know if it would have been efficient. The Civil Police are investigating the case to understand if any of the parties were negligent.
In a note published on social networks, the Union Health System Workers Union in the State of Goiás demonstrated expressed its regret about the death of the professional.
“On the front line, Jovelina was a dedicated professional who always did her work with responsibility and commitment to public health. His premature departure represents a great loss for the entire health category and for those who had the privilege of working by his side,” the union said in text.
