The developers of the super popular Master Lu benchmark in China have published a rating of consumer graphics cards for the third quarter of 2021, and there is something interesting in it. There is still not a single AMD video card in the Top 10 – neither the budget (relatively) Radeon RX 6700 XT, let alone the Radeon RX 6800 or 6900. In fact, the consumer solutions market is monopolized by Nvidia. But here’s what’s interesting: against the backdrop of a shortage and exorbitant cost of discrete video cards, the first place in the rating was taken by a mobile GPU. This is the GeForce RTX 3060. The second place behind the budget model GeForce GTX 1650 for desktop PCs, which is expected. But in third place is another mobile GPU – GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.

In general, there are four mobile GPUs in the rating, and this is a rather indicative moment: in a situation where a discrete video card costs almost as much as a finished laptop based on a similar (or slightly less powerful 3D accelerator), it is more profitable to buy a laptop: you get a mobile computer for the price of just one video card. This, of course, does not apply to ardent desktop PC enthusiasts, avid gamers and enthusiasts.
Interesting statistics are provided on the leading brands of the video card market. If we have Asus, Gigabyte and MSI in the first positions, then in China Colorful rules – it has almost a quarter of the market! Asus is on the second position with a share of 18.5%. This is followed by Gigabyte (11.44%), Galax (11.41%), MSI (10.6%), Zotac (7.65%), Sapphire (3.32%) and XFX (1.55%).

As for the rating of the most powerful custom video cards, there is no particular progress: GeForce RTX 3090 comes first, followed by GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Radeon RX 6800 XT and GeForce RTX 3080.
