Nvidia announced better-than-expected quarterly results, recording record sales.
In particular, Nvidia reported third-quarter net profit of $ 2.46 billion, or 97 cents per share, compared with $ 1.34 billion, or 53 cents per share, in the same period last year.
Revenue hit a record $ 7.1 billion, up 50 percent from $ 4.73 billion in the same quarter last year.
Meanwhile, toy sales rose 42 percent to $ 3.22 billion in the third quarter, up from a quarter high of $ 3.05 billion last month, while analysts surveyed by FactSet expected Nvidia game sales to reach $ 3.13 billion.
