Nvidia has officially announced that the first discrete graphics card with support for Resizable BAR technology (it provides the processor with full access to the memory of the video card and thus slightly increases system performance) will be the GeForce RTX 3060. However, as it turned out, there is another 3D accelerator from Nvidia already supported by Resizable BAR. It turned out to be the RTX A6000.
Recall that the RTX A6000 is the most powerful video card based on the Ampere GPU. It is built on a full-featured GA102 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores and 48GB of GDDR6 memory. The cost of this model is $ 4,650, which is much more than the GeForce RTX 3090, even taking into account its rise in price. Support for Resizable BAR RTX A6000 was discovered by one of the users of the American Reddit forum – he confirmed the data with screenshots.
Recall that the first support for Resizable BAR was received by AMD Radeon RX 6000 video cards, then by mobile GeForce RTX 30. And now support for the technology has simultaneously appeared in the youngest and the oldest models on GPU Ampere – RTX 3060 and RTX A6000.
