Nvidia today significantly expanded its line of 3D workstation accelerators: five new products are designed for use in mobile PCs, and the RTX A5500 is presented in two options – both for laptops and for desktops.

The desktop RTX A5500 is based on the GA102 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores. The configuration is the same as the gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, with one exception: the RTX A5500 uses GDDR6 memory with EEC, while the custom GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has GDDR6X memory.

The mobile RTX A5500 is based on the GA103 GPU with 7424 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. In fact, this is a gaming mobile GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, only adapted for the purposes of mobile workstations.

Also new is the RTX A500, one of the simplest 3D accelerators in the Ampere line, with 2,048 CUDA cores and 4GB of memory. The other new arrivals, the RTX A1000, A2000 and A3000, come in 4GB, 8GB, and 12GB. And the RTX A4500 is built on the GA104 GPU like the desktop GeForce RTX 3070, has 16 GB of memory and 5888 CUDA cores.
