Nvidia has released a report for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2022. The specified quarter ended on October 31st.
As we have already reported, during the reporting period, the revenue was $ 7.10 billion. This is a record 50% higher than in the third quarter of fiscal 2021. Record revenue figures were recorded in the Data Center and Gaming segments. In the first case, revenue was $ 2.94 billion, up 55% in annual terms, and in the second – $ 3.22 billion, up 42% in annual terms.
Note that these are not the fastest growing segments of Nvidia’s business. For example, in the Professional Visualization segment, the growth in annual terms was 144%. However, in absolute terms, revenue in this segment was $ 577 million, so Data Center and Gaming are the main ones for Nvidia.
The value of gross profit for the year increased from 62.6% to 65.2%. Operating income rose 91% from $ 1.398 billion to $ 2.671 billion. Net income rose from $ 1.336 billion to $ 2.464 billion, or 84%.
For the current quarter, revenues are projected at $ 7.40 billion and gross margin of 65.3%.
