The United States has leaked information that helped Ukrainian forces kill many of the Russian generals who lost their lives in the Ukraine war, the New York Times reported, citing senior US officials.
Washington has provided Ukraine with details of the expected movements of Russian troops and their position, as well as other information about the Russian command centers, according to the publication. Ukraine combines this information with the information gathered by its own services to carry out attacks by artillery or other means, killing many Russian officers, the newspaper reports.
The Pentagon and the White House, however, did not want to comment on the report.
Ukraine says about 12 Russian generals have been killed on the battlefield, according to the New York Times. U.S. officials have not commented on the number of generals killed in the clashes, according to US intelligence.
