“I don’t know, I just know it was like this”: this Thursday (26), “The Auto da Compadecida 2 ” launched a new trailer . The news was shared by the actor Selton Mello who posted the preview on his TikTok profile.
The sequel to the hit Brazilian comedy also has a release date. As previously announced, the film will be released in Brazilian cinemas on December 25th .
For the sequel, Selton Mello and Matheus Night Gaele Chicó and João Grilo return as a duo. Virginia Cavendish in the role of Rosinha, and the actor Enrique Diaz like the bandit Joaquim Brejeiro, also return to the plot.
“O Auto da Compadecida 2” also brings to the cast the additions of Taís Araujo , Eduardo Sterblitch , Humberto Martins , Fabíula Nascimento , Luis Miranda , Juliano Cazarre and Luellem de Castro .
According to what was previously announced, the film will feature an original story, but will respect the universe of Ariano Suassuna . “A mere copy would be a bland thing, and we wouldn’t be faithful. Our attempt was to outdo ourselves to make an original sequel that was worthwhile, that tried to match the original, but on the shoulders of giants, which is Ariano Suassuna,” said the director.
