OAED: Implementation of a pilot training program for retailers in Patras

OAED, in the framework of the European Action EaSI REFLEX (REcommending FLEXible learning for low-skilled adults) for the flexible learning of low-skilled adults, implements at a pilot level a training program with the theme “Salesman-Retailer”.

The program will be implemented at the facilities of KEK OAED Patras and concerns the training of 25 unemployed.

The program consists of compulsory training of 260 hours (210 hours of technique, 10 hours of English terminology, 40 hours of computer use), internship up to 240 hours (40 hours per week for 6 weeks) and remedial teaching and counseling after completing the internship up to 40 hours.

Participants must meet the following conditions:
Unemployed registered at the Employment Promotion Center (KPA2) of Patras
Non-subsidized
Aged 30-44 years
High School Graduates (3rd Grade High School)

The 25 beneficiaries will be selected as a priority with the following criteria:
Long term unemployed
Women
Social and family characteristics, such as social solidarity income beneficiaries and heads of single-parent families
Participation for the first time in a continuing vocational training program

The trainees will receive a training allowance of 3 euros per hour of training and will be additionally covered with in-kind medical care for the duration of the training.
