The fourth “OAED Career Day” that was organized today, Saturday, April 16, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, was completed with great success. The event provided an opportunity for thousands of job-seeking citizens to talk to representatives of companies looking for employees for their jobs.
Today’s event was attended by 83 companies with more than 4,500 jobs, different levels of specialization and a wide range of specialties, such as: tourism professions, teachers, office workers, accounting staff, mechanical and electrical engineers, programmers, software engineers, field technicians, nurses medical staff, shop assistants, security staff, machine operators, etc.
Those of the unemployed who could not attend the event, can send their CV to the email address [email protected] until April 30, writing in the subject the specialty that interests them and their place of residence.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, stated: “What happened today at the Peace and Friendship Stadium is a very important effort of the Public Employment Service. 83 companies came and offered 4,500 new jobs. This is the job of the Public Employment Service, not only to stay on the benefits as important as it is, but to find jobs for the unemployed.It is a marriage that the Organization makes between businesses and the unemployed.It is the fourth initiative of this kind from September onwards and these initiatives will continue. “I encourage the Governor of the Organization, Spyros Protopsaltis, and the executives of the Public Employment Service to continue in the same direction. This is what is happening in the advanced countries abroad, this is how it should be done in Greece. This is an essential social policy.”
