OAED: Until 17.02 the applications for employment of 4,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in Attica, Piraeus and South Aegean

Until Thursday, the applications for the new employment program for 4,000 unemployed people aged 30+ in the Regional Units of the Western Sector of Athens-West Attica-Piraeus and in the Region of South Aegean, with a subsidy of up to € 8,397

On Thursday, February 17 at 15:00, the deadline for submitting electronic applications of companies for participation in the new “Business Grant Program for the employment of 4,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in the Most Developed Regions (PAP) of the country, with emphasis on women “and specifically in the Regional Units of the Western Sector of Athens, Western Attica and Piraeus as well as in the Administrative Region of the South Aegean.

The 12-month program is aimed at businesses and the amounts of the salary subsidy and insurance contributions for hiring the unemployed in new full-time positions are as follows:

– € 466.5 per month (€ 5,598 per year) for the unemployed aged 30-49

– € 559.8 monthly (€ 6,717.6 per year) for the unemployed aged 50 and over

– € 606.45 monthly (€ 7,277.4 per year) for the long-term unemployed aged 30 and over

– € 653.1 monthly (€ 7,837.2 per year) for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over

– € 699.75 monthly (€ 8,397 per year) for unemployed women aged 30 and over

The companies submit their application exclusively electronically through the State Aid Information System (PSKE) of the Ministry of Development & Investment http://www.ependyseis.gr/mis. Then, the labor consultants of OAED nominate candidates to the company, according to the category of unemployed, the specialty and the required qualifications and the company chooses among the candidates for the recruitment. A necessary condition is that the company has not reduced its staff during the quarter before the application and has not received funding from state aid over € 200,000 in the previous 3 years.

The program, with a total budget of € 26,000,000, is co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund), through the OP. “Human Resource Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020”.
