“Ocean’s Eleven”: George Clooney approves of Ryan Gosling as his father in new film

Actor George Clooney, who starred in the “Ocean’s Eleven” trilogy, approved the casting of Ryan Gosling as his character’s father in the spin-off of the plot that will be released in the coming years.

Gosling will revive the hit “Barbie” duo with Margot Robbie. The duo will play the parents of Danny Ocean, Clooney’s character who leads the gang that tries to rob famous Las Vegas casinos.

“Is Margot Robbie my mother? I always thought that. And Ryan Gosling is my father, and when you think about it, it makes sense. Truly,” Clooney told Variety.

There are not many details released about the new film in the franchise, which was last seen in theaters with “Ocean’s 8”, starring Sandra Bullock, who played Danny Ocean’s sister. What is known is that, instead of Las Vegas, the plot will be set in Europe and the story will take place in the 1960s.

The work will be directed by filmmaker Jay Roach, director of “The Scandal” (2019), whose cast also included Robbie.

The film will be supported by the production company LuckyChap, of which Margot Robbie is one of the founders, responsible for “Bela Vingança”, “I, Tonya”, “Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn and Her Fantabulous Emancipation” and “Barbie”.
