Octopus -inspired robot can autonomously decide how to keep objects accurately

Scientists have developed a robot who can decide how to move or hold objects, based on his sense of environment. The device is inspired by the octopus nervous system to catch objects through the sensation. Developed by researchers at the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Bristol, the soft robot can use suction flow not only to stick to objects, but also to perceive its environment and control its own movements – just like an octopus.
