The team of the Odnoklassniki social network has presented a major design and interface update for the desktop version and mobile applications in honor of its fifteenth anniversary.
Odnoklassniki began its work exactly 15 years ago – on March 26, back in 2006. Today the team presented its new “image” to the public – not only the applications and the web version have changed, but also the logo.
The biggest changes were made to the desktop web version. The social network logo has been typed in a new font, and the color of the top menu classic for Odnoklassniki has been changed from orange to white.
The site received a new layout of the main page with a news feed: information is arranged in four columns. In addition, during the year, developers will launch end-to-end navigation with side menus in all sections to switch to the desired social network services without going to the main page. End-to-end navigation is now available in the Recommendations section and will gradually appear in all key sections. The news feed has become visually the most striking element of the site.
The interface for mobile applications is presented now, but it will reach users “in the coming months.” Here, too, the news feed will be highlighted. For example, developers will remove the profile photo and cover, which will increase the number of news displayed on the screen.
A new side menu will appear with widgets for quickly switching between social network services and widgets. For example, ordering food and taxis, buying goods, looking for work, paying for services.
The updated design of the desktop version has already appeared among some users and will soon be available to the entire audience of Odnoklassniki. All changes to mobile applications are planned for 2021.
