Erlan Ashikbekov said that the list of cryptocurrencies available for purchase or sale by such exchangers will be installed by the National Bank:

“We form a full -fledged digital financial ecosystem with an integral legal framework, which will ensure the protection of investors and will contribute to the development of new financial instruments.”

Companies registered in the International Financial Center of Astana (IFCA) will retain separate jurisdiction, but will interact with new licensed crypto service providers, said the director of the Department of Central Bank. Ashikbekov added that the control of the National Bank will be supervised by the platforms of digitalized financial assets (CFA) and the release of stabilcoins.

The CFA is integrated into the current financial system as a new class of tools. Their appeal will be provided through the central depository and the Kazakhstani stock exchange.

Earlier, the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov, said that the country has rushed the need to create a national cryptocurrency exchanger, since the demand for such operations among the population and business is constantly growing.
