Official software update made Google Pixel “cheap”

Google released a software update for its proprietary Pixel 3a smartphone in December. The update contains a bug that upset Pixel 3a users.

Official software update made Google Pixel

Pixel 3a owners are complaining on social media and forums. The update led to the fact that the smartphone began to look less attractive and upscale.

Previously, Google, like many other manufacturers, used software to “round” the corners of the Pixel 3a’s screen. According to users, and not only them, this gave an inexpensive smartphone a more upscale look. In late December, an update was released that disabled this software rounding. The users did not like the result. At least one user, among numerous complaints, called the new type of smartphone “cheap”.

User complaints can be seen both on the forum in the Google support section and on the social news resource Reddit. Google hasn’t fixed the bug since December.
