So, for the first quarter of sales (formally – for the last quarter of 2020, but in reality, the console was sold only for a month and a half, since mid-November) Sony sold 4.5 million consoles. Everything is at the PS4 level: in the first quarter of sales in 2013, 4.5 million PlayStation 4 were also sold. And although this is a lot, it does not correspond to market demand. Moreover, judging by the supply forecast, the PS5 shortage situation will only worsen, since the company expects to ship only at least 3 million consoles in the first quarter of this year. That is, if in 2020 there were 3 million PS5s per month, then in the first quarter of this year – only 1 million per month are guaranteed.
