Xiaomi announced on Twitter that it will re-release the Redmi Note 8 in 2021 and said that global sales of this smartphone have exceeded 25 million units. True, it remains unclear which models this indicator covers: exclusively Redmi Note 8 or also 8T / 8 Pro versions.
The #RedmiNote8 has now sold 25M+ units globally!

Earlier, rumors appeared on the network about Xiaomi’s intention to release a re-release of this smartphone, and the alleged Redmi Note 8 (2021) was certified by the Bluetooth SIG. The upcoming novelty is expected to be equipped with a Helio G85 processor (instead of Snapdragon 665), a 120Hz screen (instead of 60Hz) and 22.5W fast charging technology (instead of 18W).
It remains a mystery if Xiaomi will retain the design of the original Redmi Note 8, as the display, battery and cameras will not change. If so, it will surely help reduce the cost of production and therefore the final price.
