“With immediate effect, passengers will not be allowed to travel from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique on # QatarAirways flights, we will continue to review the situation on a daily basis as new information becomes available from the WHO,” the company wrote. on Twitter.
The WHO yesterday described the Omicron variant as a “variation of concern” as it may carry a large number of mutations – 32 – which may make it more contagious and dangerous.
