The management platform (ERP) focused on micro, small and medium-sized companies Omie announced this Wednesday (17) an agreement to buy 100% of the fintech Linker in a BRL120 million cash and equity transaction.
The announcement comes after Omie received in August a contribution of BRL 580 million in an investment round led by SoftBank.
The company also agreed a partnership with the Itaú Unibanco in which the bank will offer Omie’s management platform to its 1.5 million corporate customers.
fintech Linker was created in 2019 and currently provides financial services such as digital account, credit card and collection management to 30,000 small and medium-sized businesses.
Omie did not provide details of Linker’s operation, but stated in a press release that “between July of last year and June 2021, the volume transacted on the fintech platform increased 15 times…The volume handled on the credit card increased four times. this year, while the account payments function has grown 70% since January.”
