On CNN Profit #26: Ciro Bottini tells how personal marketing made him a great seller

O live commerce gained prominence during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, even though the live sales format has been widely used since the early 2000s by TV channels specializing in the marketing of products. One of the pioneers in this sales style was Ciro Bottini, who became known for his lively posture.

Guest of the 26th episode of CNN In Profit podcast, CNN Brasil Soft project, Bottini talked about sales strategies, personal marketing, financial freedom, important moments in his career and the importance of a good professional to leverage the company’s sales.

In the conversation led by Leandro Munhós, he was asked if the TV Bottini is a character created to entertain the public when selling. The communicator stated yes, but that the persona is based on himself.

“It’s a character created on top of my characteristics. I am myself with a slight caricature, some characteristics are more accentuated. On air, I’m even more excited, because over there it’s a show,” he said.

The importance of personal marketing

The speech, the change in the tone of voice and the mannerisms of Ciro Bottini in the air are not the work of chance. Everything has been thought of to create a strong personal brand.

To become one of the biggest sellers in Brazil, Bottini studied, at the beginning of his career, how he would like to be recognized by the public. “I wanted to create a personal brand that generates a memory in the customer’s mind so that every time they think about buying something remotely, they think about Bottini,” he said.

To No Lucro, Bottini said he believes in the sale before the sale. “Before I sell a product, I have to sell myself. If the customer likes and trusts me, he stops and pays attention to the product, service and brand I’m selling.”

Bottini believes that personal marketing is very important as it helps to sell and attract customer attention.

The most important thing is not always to be the best. For me, the most important thing is to be different, to be original.
