14 years have passed since the birth of Eataly: on January 27, 2007, at the Lingotto in Turin, inside the former Carpano liquor factory, the first store dedicated to quality Italian food opened. 11 thousand square meters with market, restaurant, educational areas, where you can choose good and genuine raw materials, taste them, discover them, under the motto of “eat and live better”. Since then every year in January Eataly celebrates its birthday: this year also with a special takeaway dinner on January 30th.
They called her “A dinner out of the ordinary”: is a box with four plates signed by as many great chefs, hosts and promises of the kitchen which, to celebrate Eataly, arrive for the first time in Turin.
It starts with the appetizer of Eugenio Boer, formerly 1 Michelin star with Essenza, which now with its restaurant [bu:r] in Milan he experiments without forgetting tradition: he will propose his reinterpretation of mondeghili, typical Milanese meatballs. Continue with Alberto Bettini, chef and patron of Trattoria Amerigo 1934 in Savigno (Bologna), Michelin star since 1998: he will bring to Turin green lasagna with traditional Bolognese sauce, a great classic of the Trattoria. The second is the veal cheek, red wine and blueberries by Matias Perdomo: Uruguayan chef, a Michelin star at Contraste who – also in Milan – has just inaugurated the “modern rotisserie” ROC. The dessert is there Sandy cake with Lolli zabaglione and hot cherries by Francesco Vincenzi, the young chef winner of the San Pellegrino “Twenty Years” award as the best under 30 talent in international gastronomy, who has been head of the kitchen of Franceschetta58, the younger sister of Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana. The boxes cost 48 each, can be booked on www.eataly.net and must be collected in person on January 30th (Eataly Torino Lingotto, via Nizza 230). Every two boxes, Eataly gives away a bottle of wine. Meanwhile, for the whole month of January, as usual, to celebrate its birthday Eataly will offer many products for one euro. To see the photos browse the gallery above
