The Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Greece, is organizing the 7th Greece-Sweden Business Forum, entitled: “Climate Change Action: Challenges & Solutions”, which will take place on Thursday, May 19th. and time 13.00, at the Benaki Museum (Piraeus 138).
The Forum’s work will address the challenges, as well as the opportunities arising from climate change for business, the economy and society. The aim, according to the organizers, is to highlight the strategies adopted in the international and European context, focusing on Swedish and domestic practice.
It is pointed out that the main thematic pillar of the 7th Business Forum Greece – Sweden is the assessment of current conditions and needs, structural reforms in civil protection mechanisms to prevent and address imminent threats, funding of mechanisms and adaptation and management tools and communications (ICT). The circular economy as a model of sustainable development will also be explored.
The main speaker of the Forum, according to an announcement by the organizers, will be the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Stylianidis, while the chairman of the Board will address a greeting. of the Hellenic – Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Ourania Patsiopoulou, as well as the Ambassador of Sweden to Greece Johan Borgstam.
The work of the Forum will be coordinated by Maria Boura, Executive Advisor for Strategy, Leadership, 5G.
It is further underlined that with internationally recognized speakers from different scientific and business fields related to the challenges of the climate crisis, the 7th Business Forum Greece – Sweden aims to create a common place for discussion on the future of actions on Climate Change and the interaction between different bodies, scientific and business disciplines, and the strengthening of relations between companies and partners from Greece and Sweden.
