Traffic on France’s high-speed rail network is expected to return to normal levels by Monday, Transport Minister Patrice Vergriet said today after acts of sabotage on the network caused chaos for commuters yesterday. A full return to normality is expected on Monday, the minister told reporters during a briefing on the development of the situation. Today, 7 out of 10 high-speed trains will run on France’s northern, western and southwestern railways, the French railway company SNCF announced, a day after the acts of sabotage committed against the high-speed rail network (TGV) before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
