The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the signatures of the 156 deputies of the ND parliamentary group submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament Konstantinos Tassoulas a proposal for discussion in the Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry on “investigating the operation of political manipulation and waste of public money “.

The proposal was tabled in the minutes of today’s plenary session and the debate will be determined by the Conference of Presidents after consultation with the parliamentary groups.

The conclusion of the Committee of Inquiry “for the investigation of the operation of political manipulation of public opinion, degradation of institutions and waste of public money” will be discussed in the plenary session of the Parliament next Friday, January 28.

A relevant decision was made by the conference of the Speakers of the Parliament that met today at noon.

The conclusion of the Examination Committee as well as the concluding opinions of the opposition parties were handed over to the Speaker of the Parliament Konstantinos Tassoulas, the chairman of the Committee, Giannis Kefalogiannis and the secretary of Giannis Melas.

Delivering the conclusion, Mr. Kefalogiannis underlined “that the work of the committee was completed, perhaps for the first time in the history of the institution, within the deadline set by the Plenary, without requiring an extension.

There were 13 meetings of the committee that lasted a total of more than 50 hours, which have been recorded in the kept transcripts, in total about 2,600 pages. The material collected and used by the colleagues for the recording of the finding exceeds 10,000 pages “.
