On the Russian processor Baikal released a domestic computer in the style of Apple’s iMac

Within the framework of the Softline conference “Import Substitution Cannot Be Canceled”, the Russian company DEPO Computers presented the Neos MA 522 monoblock based on the Baikal-M processor – since it is listed in the register of domestic industrial products, a computer based on it is suitable for import substitution. Details about the new product were found out by CNews.

Externally, the Neos MA 522 looks like a candy bar iMac from Apple, but with classic colors – black and white. It is equipped with a 21.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (the classic aspect ratio is 16: 9). The computer has two speakers of 3 W each, as well as a 2 megapixel webcam with a protective shutter. From the ports: two USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, two PS / 2 and RJ45, a card reader, three audio jacks and even an optical drive.

With the exception of the processor – the 28-nanometer “Baikal-M” – the rest of the characteristics differ depending on the configuration. A 2.5-inch SATA SSD can have a capacity of up to 4 TB, up to 64 GB of RAM (its type is unknown). Domestic motherboard – proprietary from DEPO.

DEPO Neos MA 522 is intended not only for public but also for private organizations. However, the cost of the computer is not disclosed – neither the initial price nor the maximum cost is known. The production of computers is established in Krasnogorsk (Moscow region), but the volume of production is unknown, as well as information about whether the company has pre-orders for this model.
