The multi-talented writer, actor and director Orson Welles broadcast on the radio an adaptation of the novel “The War of the Worlds” by H.J. Wells, a story about the invasion of Earth by aliens. But the broadcast was so vivid and realistic that many listeners believed that the planet was actually under attack by Arians!
