A man was killed overnight Saturday and another was injured in clashes related to neighborhood rivalries in Creteil, southeast of Paris, the city prosecutor’s office said today. Eleven people, including four minors, were arrested and an investigation into homicide and attempted homicide by an organized gang was launched, the prosecutor’s office said. According to a police source, police received several calls overnight shortly after midnight reporting explosions and the gathering of about 30 armed men wearing hoods, who fled when police arrived. Two people who suffered stab wounds were taken to hospital. One succumbed “to his injuries,” the prosecutor’s office said, while the other person’s health is not in danger.
