One million Europeans have signed the proposal for the ban on the “conversion treatments” of LOATKI+ in Europe, according to the citizens’ initiative promoting this request to the European Union. After the required number of signatures has been gathered, the Commission will have to respond publicly to this request, signed by many representatives of culture and politics, such as Belgian singer Angel and former French Prime Minister Gabriel Atal. Conversion “treatments” are supposed to change the sexual orientation or gender identity of a person and treat homosexuality – mainly – as a disease.
