According to the head of the digital and blockchain solutions of the BBVA Switzerland, Philippe Meyer, such advice of the Swiss branch began to give such since September last year. However, if earlier consultants proposed a small share of cryptocurrencies in an investment portfolio, now it can reach 7%.
“In a balanced portfolio, even 3% of digital assets can give a noticeable increase, while the risk will remain acceptable. For more risky portfolios, we propose to increase a share to 7%, ”Meyer said at the Digiassets conference in London.
At the moment, the Spanish bank advises customers to focus on bitcoin and broadcast, but this year it is planned to expand the list of digital assets for which consultation will be available. Meyer said that usually customers are suspicious of such advice, but when the specialists of a large bank are consulted, the attitude to digital assets is changing.
Recall that in Spain BBVA began to offer the trade in bitcoin and ether in March this year. However, the Swiss branch has been offering such services since 2021.
