One of the ten most wanted criminals in Rio Grande do Norte was captured in Pernambuco, in an operation carried out last Monday (30), in the Campo Grande neighborhood, North Zone of Recife. The fugitive’s arrest was reported this Tuesday (1) to the Public Security Secretariat of Rio Grande do Norte.
The man, who was hiding in Recife, is accused of robbery, possession of a firearm and drug trafficking. He had been on the run since his escape from the Parnamirim State Penitentiary, in Rio Grande do Norte.
The operation that resulted in the arrest was conducted by the 2nd Espinheiro Sectional Police Station, under the command of delegate Diego Cavalcanti de Albuquerque Acioli Lins. According to the Pernambuco Civil Police, the arrest warrant for the fugitive was issued by the 1st Regional Criminal Execution Court of Rio Grande do Norte.
The criminal is identified as a member of the criminal faction Sindicato do Crime, which operates in the state of Rio Grande do Norte and in other regions of the country. He had been wanted for months, appearing among the ten most wanted criminals in Rio Grande do Norte’s justice system.
After being captured, the man was taken to the police station. Now, he must return to the Rio Grande do Norte prison system.
