A shooting inside the Geneva Presbyterian Church in Orange County, Calif., this Sunday (15), killed at least one person and seriously injured four others.
“Dispatch received a call from a shooting inside the Geneva Presbyterian Church at 1:26 pm. Four victims were seriously injured, one with minor injuries. All victims are adults and on their way to the hospital. One victim died at the scene,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department wrote.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, the sheriff’s department said in a separate tweet.
“We have arrested a person and recovered a weapon that may have been involved,” according to a tweet from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
“The suspect was arrested at the scene. There will be updates. El Toro Road is closed between Calle Sonora and Canyon Wren, avoid the area. We are in Unified Command with @OCFireAuthority.”
