It’s a big day for Samsung smartphone users, especially last year’s flagships: starting today they will start receiving the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11. Of course, not all models and not in all regions will be updated right now – the process will obviously take at least several weeks, but distribution of fresh firmware starts today.
If earlier One UI 3.1 received smartphones of the Galaxy S21 series and tablets Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + (One UI 3.1 was also released for the Galaxy S20 FE, but after a few days the update was stopped), the list of smartphones to be updated now looks much more impressive: Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51, Galaxy A90, Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A50. The company also confirmed the release of One UI 3.1 for its “flexible” flagships Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip.
Together with One UI 3.1, all these models will receive some of the functions of the current flagship Galaxy S21, but everything here is very individual. For example, simultaneously capturing audio from a smartphone and connected wireless headphones (Multi Mic Recording) is only available on the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip series smartphones. And, for example, the camera features Single Take and Object Eraser will appear in all models.
