OnePlus 11 officially unveiled: with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 100W charging, Hasselblad cameras and Android 13

A few weeks ago, OnePlus representatives officially announced that the presentation of the new OnePlus 11 smartphone for the global market will take place on February 7 this year, but today, January 4, the brand announced this device in China. As expected, the flagship smartphone received Qualcomm’s top-end processor at the moment called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which the company promised to use to the limit. This is likely a hint that the manufacturer has abandoned its previous practice of limiting processor performance to control temperatures and increase device battery life.

Also, the smartphone is equipped with 12 or 16 GB of RAM of the new generation LPDDR5X and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory UFS 4.0, respectively. With such impressive performance, OnePlus 11 can display quality content on a 6.7-inch LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440p. The main feature of this display with support for adaptive refresh rates from 1 Hz to 120 Hz is that the manufacturer noted that at the moment there are already more than a hundred applications that support this technology, and there will be even more in the future. This will likely extend battery life from a single charge.

Naturally, you can’t go past the camera system, which was developed together with Hasselblad. On the back of the smartphone is a 50MP Sony IMX890 main image sensor with robust PDAF and OIS, a 48MP ultra wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX581 sensor and autofocus support (due to this, the camera can be used for macro shooting) and a Sony IMX709 telephoto lens on 32 MP with 2x zoom. For symmetry, the fourth “window” in the system is occupied by a flash. On the front side of the gadget is a 16-megapixel camera, which is built into the hole in the upper left corner of the display.

Of the additional chips of OnePlus 11, it is worth highlighting a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 100 W, but the novelty still does not have wireless charging, which is rather strange. The manufacturer also integrated a fairly powerful vibration motor into the smartphone (the largest currently on the smartphone market), which gamers will especially like – it can respond to various events in virtual worlds. The gadget is supplied with Color OS 13 firmware based on the Android 13 operating system, and sales of the device will start on January 9 (only in China). For the basic version of the gadget for 12/256 GB, the manufacturer asks for about $580, which is very nice against the backdrop of a top-end processor and excellent cameras, and the most expensive equipment for 16/512 GB will cost $710.
