OnePlus Nord 2 5G explosion injures a woman in India

Yesterday, August 1, a resident of the Indian city of Bangalore, Ankur Sharma, tweeted an incident that happened to his wife following the explosion of the recently released OnePlus Nord 2 5G. According to Sharma, the smartphone bought five days before the incident exploded while his wife was riding a bicycle. At that moment, the device was in the strap, and suddenly smoke poured out of it. Ultimately, the woman was injured. After some time, the tweet was deleted for some reason, but netizens managed to take a screenshot of the publication and save images of the burned out smartphone.

Representatives of the company did not keep waiting for a long answer and on the same day published a post in which they expressed “deep concern” in connection with what had happened and declared their readiness to compensate for the damage. The media do not rule out the fact that OnePlus could have suggested that the Indian delete his tweet to avoid unnecessary hype, in return for compensation from the company.

Hi Ankur. We are gutted to hear about your experience. We are deeply concerned and want to make it up to you. We request you to connect to us over a direct message so that we can make amends and turn this around for you. https://t.co/Y6rHuMwu8J
