VK (formerly Mail.ru Group), together with the National Research University Higher School of Economics (National Research University Higher School of Economics), launched a joint initiative to increase the availability of educational programs.
VK and the Higher School of Economics are planning to launch a platform of educational courses for leading Russian universities. The educational platform is created on the basis of Skillbox technologies (part of the VK ecosystem).
The HSE, as the main educational partner of the platform, will provide access to Russian-language and English-language online courses with the possibility of subscribing and receiving certificates. It is planned that the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), Tomsk State University (TSU), Novosibirsk State University (NSU) and other Russian universities will also join the project.
In the future, the educational platform is expected to enter the markets of the CIS, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The launch of the platform is scheduled for June 2022.
