The Hellenic Observatory, London School of Economics, in collaboration with the National Bank and with the support of the Hellenic Alumni Association of LSE, organizes an online event on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 18:00 – 19:30 (Greek time) , on “Minimum Wage: Lessons from International Experience”, with keynote speaker Alan Manning, Professor of Economics at LSE.
In recent years, many countries have raised the minimum wage to address labor market problems. In this lecture, the speaker, Alan Manning, and the interlocutors, Manolis Galenianos, Professor of Economics, University of London, and Antigoni Lymperaki, Professor of Economics at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, will summarize the developments and examine what should be minimum wage policy in the future.
The event will be coordinated by Vassilis Monastiriotis, Associate Professor of Political Economy, LSE, Member of the Hellenic Observatory and Director of LSEE – Research for Southeastern Europe.
The discussion is part of the events organized by the Hellenic Observatory in Athens with the aim of promoting dialogue on issues of major political and economic relevance.
