Only digital applications from this year for the Program ‘Restructuring and Conversion of Vineyards’

From this year, the applications of the producers for the program “Restructuring and Conversion of Vineyards” will be submitted only digitally, with the deadline for their submission being set from Monday, May 16 until Monday, June 13.

In a statement to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, George Stylios, states that “with the operation of this digital service, we simplify the application process for the program by producers. At the same time, it is possible to pump statistics from the ministry, useful for the formulation of our strategy in each branch of the primary sector “.

He pointed out that “this is another step towards the implementation of the organizational modernization and the digital transformation of the operational structure of the ministry, in order to offer to the producers and the entrepreneurs of the primary sector, services that are easy, fast and completely transparent”.

The benefits for the producer

With the new digital service, the producer is given the opportunity to be immediately informed and to make any corrections in the data of his viticultural holding, such as correction of his data in the Viticulture Register, or correct updating of his status as a “winemaker” or as a “winery” “, etc. after the two initial checks, in order to be able to submit the application. Also, it is not charged and does not take further action, in cases where the application is not accepted.

Finally, the producer is facilitated in the selection of the vineyards to be included and will be able to correct / update their data in the Viticultural Register, in collaboration with the competent departments of Agricultural Economy and Veterinary (DAOK) until the final date of submission of applications for the program, as well as to make any other modification it wishes, such as a request for the inclusion of part of the vineyard area, etc.

How many are concerned

It is worth noting that, from the implementation of the program, in previous years it appears that about 1,000 applications are submitted per year, which corresponds to about 8,000 acres.

Indicative for the year 2019-2020:

* 1,050 applications were submitted corresponding to 7,500 acres

* 951 applications corresponding to 6,785 acres were approved by the administrative audit

* after the pre-accession on-site inspection, 892 corresponding to 6,076 acres were definitively classified.

The benefits for the competent bodies

In addition to the producers, the digital service also benefits the competent bodies, such as DAOK, which are facilitated in carrying out the administrative control of the applications by exempting them from carrying out controls in order to identify the applications that cannot be evaluated. as well as the restriction of submitted applications for the program.

It is also possible in the department of Ampelos Oinou & A.P. of the Directorate of Food Utilization and Technology, export of computerized file, of the submitted applications, by Regional Unit, of all the elements of the application, in order to be able to monitor and control the program, limiting the exchange of files with the DAOK. . and ensuring the correct recording of the details of the original applications.

It will be possible to export statistical figures and to further analyze and draw conclusions, both for each regional unit and for the whole country, from the processing of the file of submitted applications and the use of the data of the Viticultural Register.

The process

When submitting the application through the digital service and in order to be able to submit the application by the producer, two mandatory checks will be performed:

a) control of registration of the requesting producer in the Viticultural Register

b) verification of the correct submission of the harvest declarations of the two previous years of the application for membership

In case of negative results it will not be possible to submit the application. Then, the vineyard plots of the producer’s holding will appear, through an interface with the Viticulture Register, for which it is possible to apply for membership and the producer will have the opportunity to confirm their details or make any modifications.

Finally, the producer will be able to post the required documents for the confirmation of personal data, required documents of ownership status, etc ..
