Children in the Municipality of Athens can undergo free diagnostic examinations throughout the week, through the OPAP preventive medicine program in the Neighborhood. The program, implemented by OPAP in collaboration with “Child Smile”, provides parents with the opportunity to make an appointment for free diagnostic check ups for their children, with a visit to the mobile polyclinic “Hippocrates”, which these days is located in Technopolis.
Specifically, the mobile unit “Hippocrates”, until Friday, February 25, 2022, will welcome the public from 9:00 to 16:30, by telephone appointment. For information and appointments, those interested can contact the phone 210-2015510 (ext. 119 – 120) daily from 9:00 to 15:00.
Free exams for children and adults
The OPAP preventive medicine program in the Neighborhood, which travels throughout Greece providing free diagnostic tests to adults and children, is implemented with the assistance of local Medical and Dental Associations.
Check-ups for children include, among other things, a general pediatric examination, a dental and eye examination, and an ENT examination. For adults, the provided examinations include physical examination (listening to lungs, heart, palpation of vital organs, otoscopy, etc.), taking vital signs (measuring blood pressure & sugar and oximetry), dental and ophthalmological examination.
