A one-time financial aid of 6,000 euros to people who were injured in the fires of July / August 2021 was announced by the Organization for Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEC).
In particular, as stated in a statement of the Organization, in the context of policies to support vulnerable groups of the population, OPEC provides financial assistance to citizens affected by natural disasters.
Following the Act of Legislative Content from 13-8-2021 (A ‘143) regarding the support of those affected by the fires of the months of July / August 2021, with the JMC No. GPD12 / 77252 / 13- 10-2021 (Government Gazette B ‘4739), it was approved the granting of a one-time financial aid, amounting to 6,000 euros, to persons who suffered injuries.
The lump sum financial aid is granted to persons who, after the injury, have been hospitalized for a period of at least 48 hours – continuously or intermittently – or are still hospitalized.
The granting of this financial aid requires the submission of an application-responsible statement by the interested party or by his legally authorized representative to the Central Service of OPEC or to the locally competent regional directorates of OPEC.
The financial aid is paid to the beneficiaries in a lump sum by credit in the declared account of the beneficiary on the last working day of the month following the month in which the approval decision for the granting of the financial aid was issued.
Those interested can search for the relevant application on the OPEC website.
