OPEC announces that the extraordinary financial support will be paid to the beneficiaries until April 21, 2022, Holy Thursday as follows:
– Disability Welfare Allowances: Beneficiaries, 138,515 – 27,703,000 euros
– Child Allowance: Beneficiaries, 577,105 – 89,299,308 euros
– YYY: Beneficiaries, 223,529 – 46,418,822 euros
– Uninsured Seniors
of Law 1296/1982: Beneficiaries, 16,401 – 3,280,200 euros
– Social Solidarity Allowance
Rev. Elderly: Beneficiaries, 16,318. 3,263,600 euros
– Undertaking Allowance: Beneficiaries 70 – 15,200 euros
Total beneficiaries: 971,938. Total payments 169,980,130 euros
OPEC clarifies that in particular with regard to Child Allowance, the announced increase is paid to those beneficiaries who have paid the first installment of the allowance for the year 2022, ie on March 31, 2022. A corresponding surcharge will be paid to the beneficiaries after the approval of their application and however, whenever it is submitted and approved by mid-January 2023.
For all the allowances it is clarified that the extraordinary financial support is tax-free and unsecured in the hands of the State or third parties, it is not bound and offset with confirmed debts to the Tax Office and the rest of the State, insurance funds or credit institutions, as well as not calculated in the tax limits for the payment of any social or welfare benefits.
