Since May, the Central Bank has allowed the sharing of data on rural credit operations, whenever authorized by the beneficiaries, in a format similar to that proposed by the so-called open banking.
Known as an “open financial system”, open banking is a package of rules and technologies that allows authorized banks and financial institutions to share products, services and customer data as long as the contracting party consents.
The expectation is that the system will expand rural producers’ access to the capital market and credit lines.
In an interview with CNN , the operations director of Creditares, Daniel Latorraca, talked about the model used. “The producer who will have better rates is not the one who goes to the official resource, it is the one who prepared for the private resource and will get advantages for interest rates and so on”, he said.
