Open discos, yes of the Cts: with green pass and 35% capacity

The managers of the dance clubs have been waiting for this decision for more than a year and are not satisfied. The Scientific Technical Committee said the first yes to reopening of discos, but with precise and too stringent limits for those who work in the sector. Discos can reopen for dancing in the white zone with a presence, including employees, of 35% of the maximum capacity indoors and 50% outdoors. The outdoor venues were open in the summer, but it was not possible to dance.

To enter, the Green Pass is mandatory and the surgical mask must be kept inside the room. It can be removed only when dancing, because this activity is comparable to physical activities indoors. Discos are like gyms. However, the CTS reiterated that these “activities are among those that present the highest risks for the spread of the virus”.

Among others rules indicated: ventilation systems without air recirculation, mandatory use of disposable glasses, possibility of frequent hand sanitation and cleaning and sanitizing of the premises.

«The important thing is to reopen but in this way the conditions are not favorable, because they will affect costs, I hope that the percentages on capacity can be reviewed in the coming days in the CDM. Otherwise in these conditions it will be difficult for many to reopen, ”said the president of Silb, the union of ballroom managers, Maurizio Pasca.

As always, the government must decide. There may be a council of ministers on Thursday. It should arrive here on decree with the increasing capacity of cinemas, theaters, concert halls, outdoor and indoor sports facilities.
